Well, rebel fans, the regular season ended in a less than favorable, no… embarrassing showing down in Starkville.  Don’t get me wrong, we do finish with an 8-4 record and a win against LSU, but this loss against State definitely puts a sour taste in our mouths.  If I had my choice I would rather have a win against LSU and a loss to State any day, so it’s not THAT bad.

With 10 out of 12 SEC teams bowl eligible, the bowl projections are still up in the air.   Some people have us going to the Outback bowl instead of the Cotton Bowl because we have been to the Cotton Bowl in our last 2 bowl appearances.  Some, so called “experts”, also say we might go to the Chick-fil-a Bowl, which baffles me.  I’m ok with Cotton or Outback, but Chick-fil-a…. come on.  If Auburn gets a higher bowl bid than us I’ll be LIVID.
