Auburn Going to Outback Bowl!?!? WTF
AuburnSports.com is reporting that the Auburn Tigers have accepted a bid to play in the Outback Bowl. Traditionally the Tampa based bowl selects from the number 2 or 3 finisher in the the SEC East, but not this year. Auburn, with the worst record for bowl eligible SEC teams, skips over UT, UK, ARK, USC, and UGA to snag the Outback Bowl bid. UK, ARK and UGA all have head to head wins over Auburn by the way. The War Eagle will most likely face either Northwestern or Wisconsin from the Big 10.
With the Outback Bowl spoken for, the remaining SEC bowls are the Capitol One, Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Chic-fil-a Bowl, Music City Bowl, Liberty Bowl, Independence Bowl, and the Papajohns.com Bowl. Who knows where everyone else will end up. Who knows maybe we will end up at the Capitol One Bowl after all.
